Saxdor Academy

Saxdor Academy is a multi-level educational project aimed at strengthening the workforce of the shipbuilding industry in Poland.

 

Implemented by the professional staff of the Saxdor Shipyard and experienced teachers of professions, the project consists of youth and adult education programs as well as training people related to the boatbuilding industry.

Yacht and boat assembler class at a professional school in Ełk

The first stage of the Saxdor Academy project, implemented in 2022, is the creation of a profile class at the industry school, educating future yacht and boat assemblers. The three-year vocational training includes theoretical and practical classes as well as preparation for work in the form of interpersonal training.

In the second and third years, students will have the opportunity to attend practical classes within the company (paid internships).

Adult education at the Vocational Training Center in Ełk

In the field of adult education, from September 2022, the Vocational Training Center in Ełk in cooperation with the Saxdor Shipyard will introduce a program of annual vocational training conducted by Saxdor specialists and the company's business partners.

At Saxdor Shipyard, we focus on continuous education, thanks to which our employees are up to date with the development of technology and processes in the industry. 

2023: profiled class in technical high school

The possibility of continuing education at the technical school level and joining the matura exam will appear in the school year 2023/2024.

Cooperation with the Gdańsk University of Technology

Graduates of the Yacht and Boat Fitter specialization have priority for admission to the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology at the Gdańsk University of Technology.
